My payment was declined

A payment can be declined for a number of reasons:

  • Not enough funds in the right currency
  • Online or contactless payments are switched off in card settings
  • The card is frozen
  • Our security system flagged the transaction
  • The merchant doesn't accept Mastercard

Open the transaction in the app for more details on why it was declined.
